Women’s Golf Wins Toftrees Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The York College women's golf team finished first out of nine teams at the Toftrees Invitational hosted by Penn State Altoona at Toftrees Golf Resort on September 13-14.

The Spartans finished +104 for the tournament with a 36-hole score of 672 (336 + 336). Seton Hill (+115) came in second place, followed by Saint Francis (+124), Washington & Jefferson (+137) and Grove City (+136) in the top-five.

Three Spartans landed in the top-10 led by Ava Johnsen who finished tied for fourth with a total score of 161 (+19). Lily Davis finished sixth overall (+20) and led York with a trio of birdies throughout the tournament. Samiya Bodalia finished tied for 10th (+29), followed by Rachel Koengetter (+36) who finished 15th and Nicole Tarquinio (+40) in 16th place.

The Spartans return to the course on September 26-27 at the Williams Invitational hosted by Williams College at Taconic Golf Club.
