SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Spartans played their second game of the season Friday evening, traveling to Susquehanna University to take on the River Hawks. York jumped out to an early lead and ran away with a 5-1 victory.

How it Happened
York scored its first goal in the ninth minute.
Elaiwe Ikpi spotted
Aiden Hall, connecting for the first goal of the evening.
Gavin Huey gave the Spartans a 2-0 lead in the 28th minute.
Opening up the second half, in the 47th minute, York drew a penalty kick. Hall netted it, extending the Spartan lead.
Jacob Fato scored the fourth Spartan goal.
Greg Proctor was credited with the assist.
The fifth and final goal for the Green and White came from Hall again, completing the hat trick in the 55th minute.
Susquehanna scored in the 90th minute to spoil the Spartan shutout.
York's defense held the River Hawks to a mere three shots on goal.

Brody Yakscoe split time in the net.
Bono started the game, recording a clean sheet while making one save. Yakscoe logged one save in the second half.
The Spartans had 10 corner opportunities compared to the River Hawks' two.

The Spartans improve to 22-3-2 against the River Hawks… In the last 10 matchups, York holds a 8-0-2 record over Susquehanna… Hall is the first player to record a hat trick in the program since Jack Mitzelgelt completed the feat in 2022, also against Susquehanna.
