YORK, Pa. - The York College men's soccer played host to No. 6 Dickinson College, Sunday afternoon. The Spartans scored in the third minute and played shut-down defense for the remainder to claim the 1-0 win.

How it Happened
York was aggressive in the opening minutes, having a scoring opportunity in the third.
Elaiwe Ikpi shuffled past a Red Devil defender, finding
Tannor Wiszneski. Wiszneski blindly heeled the ball past the outreached hand of the keeper.
The Spartans' defense held the Red Devils to just one shot on goal in the first half, taking the 1-0 lead into the half.
The Red Devils came out hot in the second half, taking four shots in the first 15 minutes. York goalkeeper,
Jake Bono, made three saves in that stretch.
Dickinson fired off seven more shots to end regulation, unable to connect on any.
Bono totaled five saves, recording a clean sheet for the Green and White. This is Bono's second shutout this season.
The Red Devils outshot the Spartans, 18-12. Dickinson also had the advantage in corner kick opportunities, 6-3.
Spartan Notes
The Spartans improve to 8-1-0 against the Red Devils… This was the first meeting between the two teams since 2007… York's last ranked victory came against (RV) Lebanon Valley back in 2024.
