Spartans Roll to 2-0 Win Over Salisbury

YORK, Pa. - The York women's soccer team remains undefeated at home on the season following Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Salisbury.

How It Happened
The Spartans steadily mounted pressure throughout the first, building up an 11-4 shot margin, before finding the back of the net in the 44th minute of play. Jess Bentzel swung in a centering pass from the right side of the box to Olivia Dingman who one–touched the ball over to Addyson Krug on doorstep who finished for her first career goal.

Late in the 60th minute the Spartans extended their lead to two goals. A Salisbury foul deep in the right corner set up a free kick opportunity for York. Bentzel served a beautiful high-arcing pass into the middle of the box where Mackenzie Hanley met the ball with a hard-struck header for her first goal of the season.

Spartan keeper Gracie Leathery went on to make three saves the rest of the half and totaled five on the night in her fifth shutout appearance of the season.
