YORK, Pa. - The York College Spartans hosted Stevens in a non-conference contest, Saturday afternoon. The Green and White bounced back from an early 1-0 deficit to earn a 2-1 victory.

How it Happened
The Ducks got on the board first. In the 16th minute, Molly McCann dribbled and drilled a shot in the upper left corner of the net.
York answered quickly when
Meg Kalthof delivered a cross to
Lexi Mazzella, who laced it past the Stevens goalkeeper, in the 20th minute.
The Green and White took the lead in the 26th minute when Kalthof weaved through the Ducks' defense, slashing the game-winner into the net.
The Spartan defense shut down the Ducks, allowing just five shots, two of which were on target.
Gracie Leathery was in the net for the Green and White, making a save.
Spartan Notes
With Kalthof's game-winning goal in today's contest. She now holds the school record for most game-winning goals in a career with 15, passing Maria Chesnavage (14), who held the mark since 2003.

The Spartans will open up MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday, October 3rd, when they host conference newcomer Neumann. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
