SCRANTON, Pa. - The Spartan field hockey team traveled north to the University of Scranton, taking on the Royals on Saturday afternoon. After being tied 1-1 at the half, the Spartans put two tallies on the board in the third quarter to secure a 3-2 win.

Katelyn Landis provided an insurance goal for the Green and White, extending the lead to 3-1.
The Royals mustered up one more goal in the 51st minute, executing on a penalty corner.
Maddy Merlack was in the cage for the Spartans, making six stops on eight opportunities.
Scranton outlasted the Spartans on penalty corners, 10-6. The Royals also had 20 shots, compared to York's 13.
