YORK, Pa. - York College men's soccer hosted Arcadia University for a non-conference contest, Saturday afternoon. In a back-and-forth battle, both teams were unable to score, ending the game in a 0-0 tie.

How it Happened
In the first half, York and Arcadia both had seven shots. The Spartans had a scoring opportunity in the 4th minute.
Elaiwe Ikpi laced a shot that was blocked by a Knights' defender.
Gavin Huey had the second scoring opportunity for the Spartans but missed wide of the net. Shortly after, the Soartans were called offside, turning the ball over to the Knights.
The Spartans and Knights each had seven shots going in the halftime.
Both teams had a few chances in the second half. In the 83rd minute, Arcadia fired off back-to-back shots with Spartan keeper,
Jake Bono, making a full extension save. This was followed by a shot wide, ending the Knights threat.
The Spartans were able to muster up two shots in the 89th minute, neither of them going into the net.

The Spartans are now 6-1-3 against the Knights… The tie today snapped a five-game win streak for the Green and White… The Spartans trailed in corner opportunities, 8-3… York also committed 11 fouls, compared to the Knight's eight… Bono made four saves in the net for the Green and White.
