GRANTHAM, Pa. - The York College women's track and field team captured one medal and four top-eight finishes as they sit in sixth place out of 16 teams following the conclusion of day two of the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Messiah University.

The Spartans have compiled 35.5 points through two days of competition and rank sixth in the 16-team field. Lebanon Valley leads the way with 49 points, followed by DeSales (47), Kings's (42), Stevens (37.5) and Messiah (36) in the top-five.

Highlights
Freshman Trinity Batista headlined day two for the Spartans as she captured gold in the high jump. Batista's winning height of 1.66m established a new outdoor school record as she surpassed the old record mark of 1.64m set by Laura Rowlands in 2011.

Three other Spartans scored points on the day with their top-eight performances. Sophomore Kayla Reidenbaugh captured fifth in the 3000m steeplechase with a personal record time of 12:04.24. Senior Madison O'Brien captured sixth in the heptathlon with a score of 3405 and freshman Kasandra Gaizick finished seventh with a score of 2948.

York also had numerous women secure a spot in Saturday's finals which included Angela Nuse (100m), Keziah Boyce (200m), Sperra Vittor (100H) and Camille Williams (400H).
