Vittor Lands on Indoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC Team

NEWTOWN, Pa. - York College first-year Sperra Vittor earned a spot on the 2026 Women's Indoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC Team as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office on Wednesday. Vittor was one of 10 student-athletes recognized on the team.

The Winter Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2026 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Vittor is a medical imaging major who posted a 3.38 GPA this past spring semester and owns a 3.73 cumulative GPA through two semesters at York.

The first-year Spartan also shined in competition throughout the indoor season. Vittor nabbed a gold medal in the 60m hurdles at the MAC Indoor Championships and was part of the school-record setting 4x200 relay team that finished fifth. The Spartan rookie also earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors as her personal-best time of 9.03 seconds in the 60m hurdles ranked third in the Mid-Atlantic Region this past season.

Vittor is just the second student-athlete and first freshman in York women's track and field history to land on the Winter Academic All-MAC team since the Spartans joined the league in 2021.
