#8 Spartans Notch Convincing Commonwealth Over Eastern

YORK, Pa. - The No. 8 York men's lacrosse team racked up a season-best 20 goals and improved to 2-0 in Commonwealth play following Wednesday night's home win over Eastern.

Highlights
Davis Fisher (6) and Cory Bergmann (5) led the Spartan offensive onslaught with 11 combined points. Brady Watts (12) and Ryan Hudson (10) combined to win 22 of 31 faceoffs to keep momentum rolling in York's favor all night.

York set the tone from the beginning by winning all nine faceoffs in the first quarter and rushed out to a 6-2 lead. The Spartans scored back-to-back goals to end the first half and took a 10-3 lead into the break. They opened the third quarter with four-straight tallies to extend their run to six which put the game away as they took a 14-3 lead midway through the third. Fisher fueled the game-clinching run with three points on one goal and two assists.
