York Falls in Series Finale Against Stevenson

YORK, Pa. - The York Spartan baseball team concluded its series against Stevenson on Saturday afternoon. The Green and White fell to the Mustangs, 4-3.

Highlights 
York had gotten an early lead in the contest. Bryce Avery roped a double into the right center gap, plating Alex Neeld. 

The Green and White added another run in the top of the fourth inning. Ryan Niedzialkowski hit a sacrifice fly, extending York's lead to 2-0. 

In the bottom half of the inning, the Mustangs tied it up on a two-run single. 

Stevenson took the lead in the fifth inning, plating two on a single, to make it 4-2.

Matthew Wade scored the Spartans third and final run on a wild pitch. 

CJ Scism started on the mound for the Green and White. In four innings of work, he allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks. He struck out five batters.  

Jake Ludwig and Jason Cassidy pitched in relief for the Spartans. Both recorded a clean sheet.

York is now 26-11 all-time against the Mustangs… the Spartans are now 14-4 on the road at Stevenson… The Green and White now hold a 8-2 record in their last 10 match-ups against the Mustangs.
