YORK, Pa. - The York Spartan baseball team played host to Stevenson on a sunny Thursday afternoon, opening their final series of the regular season. The Green and White came out victorious, grabbing an 8-6 win.

Highlights
The Mustangs grabbed the first two runs of the game, scoring in one in the second inning and one in the top of the third inning.
York got on the board in the bottom half of the third on a sacrifice fly from
Jacob Deimling.
A solo homer extended the Stevenson lead.
In the bottom of the fifth,
Luke Moser singled home Ford to inch one run closer.
Lucas Prendergast then scored on a groundout from
Richard Kline to tie the ballgame at 3-3.
Later in the inning,
Joe Urban knocked an RBI single through the left side to put York ahead 4-3.
Alex Neeld grabbed another run for the Green and White, doubling down the line to bring in
Matthew Wade.
The Spartans were far from done, grabbing another pair of runs in the sixth.
Moser and Deimling each recorded RBI-doubles to extend the Spartan lead to 7-3.
Stevenson rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to get within one run.
Prendergast knocked in an insurance run for the Spartans in the bottom half of the seventh.
Konnor Reeser got the start for the Green and White today, tossing six solid innings. Reeser allowed three runs on eight hits.
Jake Ludwig came in for relief, conceding one earned run on three hits in three innings of work.
