READING, Pa. - The York College baseball team wrapped up a MAC Commonwealth Series against Alvernia, Saturday. The Spartans split the twin bill with the Golden Wolves, dropping game one 7-3 and picking up a 15-4 win in game two.
Game One

Highlights
Alvernia scored first, grabbing two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Richard Kline hit the go-ahead double, giving York a 3-2 lead.
The Golden Wolves tied it up in the bottom half of the sixth inning.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Golden Wolves walked it off on a two-out grand slam.
Dillon Michaloski started on the mound for the Spartans. In five innings of work, he surrendered three runs on eight hits and two walks.
Sam Ross came in for relief, allowing four runs on two hits and a walk.

Highlights
The Spartans started off red hot, scoring four runs in the top of the first.
Jacob Deimling and
Matthew Wade each had an RBI single.
Joe Urban followed with a two-run single.
Alvernia quickly responded, adding three runs of its own in the bottom half of the first inning.
York scratched across three more runs in the second inning. Deimling hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Prendergast.
Joe Urban roped his second two-run single of the game, extending the lead to 7-3.
Prendergast and
Richard Kline pushed across three more Spartan runs in the top of the third inning.
Alvernia's fourth and final run came in the bottom of the fourth, on an RBI single.
Alex Neeld extended the Spartan lead to 11-4, with a solo home run in the sixth inning.
The Green and White brought in its final four runs in the top of the eighth inning.
Ethan Hotchkiss hit a sacrifice fly and Prendergast followed with a three-run home run.
CJ Scism started for the Spartans on the mound. He went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and five walks. He struck out two.
Eric Wolfer and
Lane Berkey tossed the final four innings, neither allowing a hit.
Notes
York is now 16-7 all-time against Alvernia … the Spartans are now 6-4 away against the Golden Wolves… The Green and White now hold a 8-2 record in their last 10 match-ups against Alvernia… the loss in game one snapped a seven-game win streak for the Spartans.
