YORK, Pa. - The Spartans celebrated their 2026 Senior class on Saturday afternoon against Hood College. York won game one, 5-3 and dropped game two, 13-12.

How it Happened
In the bottom of the first inning, York plated its first run.
Brett Michael singled to left field, scoring
Luke Moser.
In the third inning,
Richard Kline belted a two-run home run, extending the Green and White's lead to 3-0.
The Blazers rallied in the fourth inning, tying up the game.
Michael put the Spartans ahead with a RBI single in the fifth.
Joe Urban added an insurance run, hitting a sacrifice fly.
The Spartans defeated the Blazers, 5-3.
Dillon Michaloski started on the bump for the Spartans. In six innings of work, he allowed three runs, six hits, and one walk. Michaloski struck out four.
Jason Cassidy earned his fifth save of the season. Cassidy pitched the final inning of the game, recording a clean sheet.

How it Happened
The Blazers took an early 3-0 lead through 3.5 innings.
York tallied its first two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Michael scored on a fielder's choice.
Jacob Deimling later scored on a wild pitch.
The Spartans took the lead in the sixth inning. Deimling tied up the game, hitting an RBI single.
Jackson Ford later tripled, giving York a 4-3 lead.
Lucas Prendergast brought in the Green and White's fifth run on a RBI single.
Hood tied it up again in the top half of the seventh inning on a RBI double.
York plated four runs in the seventh. Deimling hit an RBI double, giving York a 6-5 lead.
Ethan Hotchkiss followed, hitting a two-run home run. The Spartans scored their ninth run of the game on a double steal with Ford swiping home.
Hood's offense rallied to score eight runs, taking a 13-9 lead, heading into the bottom of the ninth inning.
York threatened and scored its 10th run on a bases-loaded walk from
Eli Angstadt. Urban singled to right field, plating the Spartan's 11th run. Deimling then earned a bases-loaded walk, scoring the 12th Spartan run.
The Blazers stopped the bleeding and got out of the bases-loaded jam, claiming the 13-12 victory.
Seven different Spartan pitchers saw mound time against the Blazers.
Jason Cassidy drew the loss for York.
