CHESTER, Pa. - The York College baseball team traveled down to Widener, Friday afternoon. The Spartans dropped game one of the MAC Commonwealth series.

Highlights
The beginning of the game was all Widener, as the Pride scored five unanswered.
Widener tallied one run in the third, one in the fourth, and three more in the sixth.
The Green and White got on the board in the top of the seventh, as
Alex Neeld put a solo shot over the fence to make it 5-1.
In the top of the ninth, York made a late push.
Brett Michael singled to center, plating
Brady Shaw to pull within three, but the Pride slammed the door.
Konnor Reeser was on the bump to start today for the Spartans, tossing five innings. Reeser recorded four earned runs, nine hits, and three walks.
Jake Ludwig came in for relief, hurling three innings and allowing only two hits.

The Spartans are now 13-6 all-time against Widener … York is now 7-3 away against the Pride … The Green and White snapped its four-game winning streak against Widener… The Spartans are now 4-3 this season in conference play.
