ASHLAND, Va. - The York College baseball team traveled south to Randolph-Macon College, Wednesday afternoon. The Spartans offense was on full display, defeating RV Randolph-Macon, 14-3.

Highlights
York scored the first run of the game in the top of the third inning on a home run, off the bat of
Brett Michael.
In the bottom half of the inning, the Yellow Jackets scored three runs of their own to make it a 3-1 game.
The Spartans responded in the fifth inning, scoring six runs on five hits.
Lucas Prendergast tied the game with a two-run double.
Alex Neeld hit the go-ahead sacrifice fly. Later in the inning,
Matthew Wade added an RBI single and
Luke Moser roped a two-RBI double.
The Green and White added five more runs in the top of the eighth to extend the lead to 12-3.
Brett Michael and
Alex Neeld both tallied an RBI single.
Richard Kline launched a home run.
York tacked on two more runs in the top of the ninth inning.
Ryan Niedzialkowski hit a sacrifice fly, and
Eli Angstadt had an RBI single.
CJ Scism started on the mound for the Spartans, earning the win. In six innings pitched, he allowed three earned runs on seven hits. Scism walked one and struck out one.
Sam Ross and
Eric Chaney both came in for relief, tallying clean sheets.

York is now 5-14-2 all-time against Randolph-Macon … the Spartans are now 4-8-1 away against the Yellow Jackets … The Green and White snapped its four-game losing streak against Randolph-Macon … Prendergast now has a 15-game hit streak.
