Men’s Basketball Celebrates Senior Day with Playoff-Clinching Win

YORK, Pa. - The York men's basketball team secured a spot in the Commonwealth postseason tournament and will continue their title defense following a dominant 86-63 victory over Eastern on Senior Day Saturday.

Team Records
Eastern: 9-13 (6-6 MACC)
York: 18-5 (8-4 MACC)

Highlights
The Spartans catapulted out of the gates and owned a 20-point lead (28-8) just over 10 minutes into the game and kept on rolling to take a 29-point advantage (49-20) at halftime fueled by Jayden Rowe's 20-point performance. York stretched the lead to 33 points six minutes into the second half and hit that same advantage twice more with under three minutes to play before Eastern scored 12 points in mop up time to bring the margin of victory down to 23.

Rowe, the Commonwealth's leading scorer, led all players with 24 points, while the rest of his fellow seniors combined for 24 points in a balanced all-around effort. 14 different Spartans recorded a bucket on Saturday with all 18 seeing time on the court.
