How It Happened
After a back-and-forth start, the Spartans eventually broke open some breathing room by taking a nine-point lead (21-12) with 11:36 left to go with Tate Landis (6) and Jayden Rowe (5) leading the way with a combined 11 points. From there, the Eagles countered with a 7-0 run over the next two minutes to trim the Spartan lead down to two (21-19), but York came storming back and went on a 25-8 run over the last nine minutes of the first half to take a 46-27 halftime lead.

Cooper Haberern scored nine points on York's late run with Landis pouring in eight. Landis (14) and Haberern (12) both end the first half in double figures to lead the Spartans as York shot a blistering 60.7% from the field (17-for-28) and doubled-up the Eagles in rebounding, 20-10.

The Spartan lead continued to hover around a 20-point margin through the first seven minutes of the second half with Nick Schroeder pacing York with six points during that span. Over the next nine minutes, Eastern out-scored the Spartans, 24-12, to shrink the gap down to a 10-point margin with 10:05 left to play with Olise Onyeka leading the way for the Eagles with eight points.

A Schroeder three-pointer sparked an 11-3 Spartan run which quickly put York ahead by 18 (72-54) with 7:24 remaining. York finished the game strong, shooting 6-for-10 from the field down the stretch to close out the 17-point victory.
