Women’s Track & Field Has Strong Showing at Alvernia Winter Invite

READING, Pa. - The York College women's track and field team took down a school record and compiled 10 top-10 performances at the Alvernia Winter Invitational hosted by Alvernia University on Saturday.

Highlights
The 4x800m relay team composed of Lily Arnold, Sierra Blaker, Kayla Reidenbaugh and Isabel Tenney rewrote the school record with a time of 10:04.05 as they finished second. Their time now stands as the second-fastest in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) this season.

Taylor Heie finished third in the pole vault with a height of 3.35m which is now first in the MAC this season and top-50 in Division III. Heie was the only DIII finisher in the top-seven at Saturday's meet.

Zada Marine also had a standout day as she nabbed a pair of top-10 finishes on the day in the shot put (5th) and weight throw (6th).
