YORK, Pa. - Two members of the Spartan women's swimming team,
Isabella Klemm and
Annika Doutrich, received Winter Academic All-MAC honors as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) on Thursday.
Klemm carries a 3.34 grad point average as a health care administration major. The junior put together a banner season in the pool as she became an NCAA national qualifier and was named the MAC Women's Swimmer of the Year. She captured MAC gold medals in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 IM, while contributing to a silver in the 400 medley relay and a bronze in the 800 freestyle relay. Klemm also established a new MAC overall and championship record in the breaststroke with a time of 1:02.71.
Doutrich earned her eligibility for this distinguished honor by posting a 4.0 GPA through her first two semesters as a psychology major. The Spartan freshman also put together an impressive rookie campaign in the pool as she captured three individual medals and two relay medals at the MAC Championships.
The Winter Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2025 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.
