Fripp, Ganter Earn All-Region Honors

PENFIELD, N.Y. - Spartan men's golfers Jacob Fripp and Gavin Ganter earned PING All-Region III honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Sunday evening at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship banquet.

Fripp and Ganter were two of 15 honorees in Region III and two of just three Middle Atlantic Conference (Freedom and Commonwealth) players to be named to the squad as they were joined by Alvernia's Jackson Hoovler.

Fripp, the Commonwealth individual conference champion, led the Spartans with a 73.93 scoring average in 15 rounds through the fall and spring seasons. He never shot over 80 on the season, while posting a season-low scoring of 70 in his second round at The Ruckus tournament played at Williamsburg National - Jamestown Course. The junior captured a pair of individual tournament titles with a tie for the lead at The Ruckus and claimed the out-right title at the MAC Commonwealth Championship.

Ganter compiled a 74.9 scoring average as he played in all 19 of the team's rounds throughout the year. He shot under 70 twice on the season which included a school-record 64 that he carded on his second round of the Northeast Elite tournament at Williamsport Country Club. The senior posted three top-10 finishes throughout the season with a season-best finish of second place at the Northeast Elite where he finished five under par with a two-round score of 137.

Fripp and Ganter will lead the Spartans at the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship which is slated for May 20-23 at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, N.Y.
