How It Happened
The Spartans baptized Eastern with 10 goals in the first quarter to put the game into running clock inside the first 15 minutes of play. The seniors did the heavy lifting for York in the first quarter led by Gianna Huet who compiled all six of her points with three goals and three assists, while senior Zoe Kluegel added a pair of goals and senior Natalie Neiman handed out two assists.

York tacked on four more goals in the second quarter with Kluegel scoring her third of the half to give the Spartans a 14-0 led at halftime. The Eagles broke up the Spartan shutout less than two minutes into the third quarter when Morgan Wallace set up Amira Solomon for her 11th goal of the season and the lone goal of the game for Eastern.

The Spartans would go on to end the game on a 6-0 run and limited the Eagles to just three more shots. Neiman scored her second goal of the season, while Lauren Gillies and Keeley Ballard each tallied their first on York's closeout run. Leah Vacin led the way down the stretch with a pair of points.
