YORK, PA – York College men's basketball senior forward
Kai Cipalla has been named as the fifth Spartan in school history to earn NABC All-American honor as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Cipalla, who earned first-team All-Region V honors on Tuesday, was named second-team All-American. He joins an exclusive class of Spartan players who have previously earned the honor. Chad McGowan was York's first NABC All-American as he is the only Spartan to receive the award twice, earning first team honors in 2006-07 and second team accolades in 2007-08.
Nick Brady was a third team pick in 2009-10 followed by
Jason Bady, a third team selection in 2018-19 and
Jared Wagner, a second team member, in 2019-20.

Cipalla had a fantastic Spartan career capped with a senior year that saw him earn the 2024-25 MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year award. He averaged a league-best 20.2 points per game while he grabbed 6.7 rebounds per game. Cipalla shot 57% for the year and finished his career at 57.9%, good for fourth on the all-time career list. Cipalla averaged 18.1 points per game in his 80 career games which is fourth on the career list while his 1,444 points is 11
th all-time.

Cipalla will wear his Spartan uniform one last time on Saturday as he represents York in the annual NABC All-Star Game in Fort Wayne, Indiana as part of the Division III Final Four festivities.
