How It Happened
The two teams combined for a lot of offense in the first quarter with Gettysburg edging out a 4-3 lead. Gianna Huet led the Spartans with two points in the quarter with a goal and an assist. Sydney Mentzer and Logan Ward also found the back of the net.

The Bullets broke open some breathing room as they out-scored the Spartans, 6-2, and owned a 7-2 edge in draw controls in the second quarter to take a 10-5 halftime lead. Zoe Kluegel had both of York's goals in the period, while Maddie Passarello and Julia Daly each tallied twice for Gettysburg.

York flipped the script in the third quarter and out-scored the Bullets, 4-1, as Gettysburg held an 11-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Despite winning five out of six draw controls, the Bullets only compiled two shots as they turned the ball over four times in the quarter. Ward, Mentzer and Kluegel all scored again for York with Juliana Silvernale becoming the fifth-different goal scorer of the day for the Spartans.

The Bullets owned the fourth quarter and put the game away with a 5-1 goal advantage, including two goals on the woman-up advantage. Gettysburg put together a six-goal starting with the last goal of the third quarter and held the Spartans to just one tally in the final 17 minutes.

Up Next
