Women’s Cross Country Caps Season at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

NEWVILLE, Pa. - The York College women's cross country team concluded the season finishing 16th out of 28 teams at the NCAA DIII Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by Dickinson College at Big Spring High School on Saturday.

The Spartans posted a score of 447 with three runners inside the top-100. Johns Hopkins won the team title with a score of 42, followed by Carnegie Mellon (64), Lebanon Valley (160), Misericordia (170) and Gettysburg (187) in the top-five.

Junior Isabel Tenney led the way for York yet again to finish the season as York's top performer in all six meets. The junior finished the day in 68th place with a time of 24:18.9.

Freshman Sierra Blaker finished 82nd with a time of 24:35.1 and was followed by sophomore Kayla Reidenbaugh in 83rd place with a pace of 24:36.5.

Freshman Lily Arnold ranked fourth in the Spartan lineup with a 114th-place finish with a pace of 25:23.6.

Junior Taylor Wickard came in next for York as she finished 125th with a personal-best time of 25:42.7.

Sophomore Angelina Hammond was the sixth Spartan finisher as she crossed the line in 134th place with a time of 26:07.33.

Freshman Danica Taylor rounded out the Spartan lineup in 152nd place with a pace of 27:18.96.
