SELINSGOVE, PA – The York College men's basketball team remained unbeaten on the year as they defeated host Susquehanna, 72-63, to capture the Scheib Memorial Tournament title on Saturday.
The Spartans are now 4-0 while the River Hawks fall to 3-1.
How Did It Happened
• The Spartans got off to a quick 21-12 start less than 10 minutes into the game. The Spartans continued to add to the lead, keeping the advantage around five at 22-17. York wouldn't push their lead beyond seven the rest of the fist half. The River Hawks slowly chipped away, but York still had a three point lead to the intermission.
• The River Hawks started to slowly pull away in the early stages of the second half. Susquehanna held the lead until York went on a 6-0 run to take a 58-62 lead
capped with a
Jayden Rowe bucket with 4:17 left in the game.
Cooper Haberern then drilled a three to push the lead to eighth with 2:48 remaining in the game. York would go on to finish off the game and keep the Spartans perfect on the season.

Susquehanna finished the game shooting 42.8% from the floor and 55.56% from three … York shot 50% from the floor including 50% from three and 81.82% from the stripe … York out-rebounded the River Hawks 35-25 … Jackson Van Wagener led Susquehanna with 13 points while he also had three assists and four rebounds … Brandon Lavitt and Billy Anderson each contributed 11 points while Audric Washington had nine points and nine boards to the River Hawk attack.
