Spartan Volleyball Splits Sweeps Arcadia in Home Tri-Match

YORK, Pa. - The Spartan women's volleyball team claimed a 3-0 win over Arcadia and took a 3-0 loss to Salisbury in tri-match at home on Saturday.

How It Happened
The Spartans began the day with a convincing 3-0 victory over Arcadia to capture their third sweep of the season. York posted set scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-11 while hitting a whopping .524 in the final set. The Spartans hit a season-best .362 for the match led by Liz Kerin who hit a season-high .692. Kerin and Morgan Nolte led all players with 10 kills each, while Maddie Hoffman led all players with 32 assists and Sami Baer led everyone with 13 digs. York held the Knights to a season-low 16 kills as they hit -.063 with 21 errors.

York closed out the day with a 3-0 loss to Salisbury as the Sea Gulls claimed victories of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-17 to capture their ninth-straight win. SU hit a collective .355 for the match led by  Gwen Eustace who hit .857 while leading all players with 12 kills. Kerin and Saniya Esters led the Spartans with seven kills each, while Baer led all players with 15 digs.

Kerin led York on the day with 17 kills while hitting a team-best .577 with just two errors. Hoffman led the way with 42 assists with an average of 8.40 assists per set. Baer led the Green and White with 28 total digs on the day with an average of 4.67 digs per set.
