YORK, PA – The #13 York College field hockey team dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision to #4 Salisbury on Wednesday evening in York.
The Sea Gulls struck one minute into the game and never looked back. Salisbury had a big second quarter with three goals to put the game away.

How It Happened
• The Sea Gulls wasted little time in playing from in front as Morgan Bradford found herself all along on the back post for an easy goal exactly one minute into the contest. The Spartans were able to steady themselves and keep Salisbury off the board the remainder of the quarter as they held their guests to three total shots.
• Salisbury unleashed a three-goal run on York in the second quarter to seize control of the match. Alex Kupper notched the first goal of the quarter off a pass from Marli McDorman just 3:06 into the quarter. Bradford struck for a second goal on a nifty spin move in the box to make it 3-0 with 9:47 remaining in the half. McDorman closed out the scoring with her eighth goal of the year with 6:55 left in the half.
• The Sea Gulls out shot the Spartans 9-0 in the period while there was not a penalty corner drawn in the first half.
• The third and fourth quarters were much quieter as there were just a combined seven shots and three penalty corners in the second half of the game.
