YORK, PA – The York College men's swim squad had another strong day at the 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference Swim Championships at Graham Aquatic Center in York.
The Spartans remained in second place overall as they now have 612 points through two days of competition. Stevens leads the team standings with 763 points. Widener (575 points), Arcadia (445.5 points) and Misericordia (399 points) round out the top five teams midway through the championships.
The night started off with a first-place finish from the Spartans' 200 free relay team. The foursome of
Nick Bordovsky,
Collin Draminski,
Braeden Emore, and
Bryan Collins earned gold with a time of 1:23.48. The time set a new school record, shaving off .60 seconds off the previous record that was set this fall. The Spartans have now won the 200 free relay in back-to-back championships.
Individually, Emore had York's top finish as he placed fifth in the 100 fly with at ime of 51.91. Teammate
Matthew Peters notched an eighth-place finish in the event with a time of 52.79. First year
Alex Daniele was the third Spartans swimming in the 100 fly as he was tenth with a time of 52.62.
Collins, fresh off of winning the 50 free on Thursday night, placed sixth in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.27.
Liam Perrin was ninth in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.56 while Bordovsky was 12
th in the event with a time of 1:48.39.
Chris Hulsart earned a seventh-place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:27.78.
