GLENSIDE, PA – The York College men's basketball jumped out to an early lead and cruised from there as they downed Arcadia University 87-63 in a MAC Crossover game on Wednesday night in Glenside, PA.
The Spartans ripped off an early 13-2 run to forge a ten-point lead eight minutes into the game. Their lead would not fall below eight the remainder of the game as they snapped their two-game losing skid.
York improves to 2-2 overall while the Knights falls to 1-4.

How It Happened
• The Knights jumped out to a 4-3 lead only to see the Spartans respond with the 13-2 run to take a 16-6 lead.
Jackson Mascari powered the run with nine points as York was 6-for-6 from the floor including one three pointer. After a Knight lay-up, freshman
Ben Troyer threw down a big dunk in traffic as he was fouled for a three-point play that started an 18-5 run that pushed the Spartan lead to 21 at 34-13. The Spartans had six different players score on the run as they were in control of the game.
• The Knights scored ten of the final 17 points of the half as they trailed 41-23 heading to the intermission. Jamison Lynam scored eight points during the late spurt for Arcadia. York shot 51.7% for the first half including five threes while they were 6-for-8 from the stripe.
• The teams came out of the half and went back and forth for the opening three minutes of the half as both teams tallied five points.
Nick Schroeder drilled a three pointer to start a quick 10-3 Spartan spurt that built the lead to 25 at 56-31 with 13:31 left in the game. The Knights put together a 12-5 run covering 3:50 of play, trimming York's lead to 18 with 9:41 left in the game.
• The Knights kept clawing back as they cut the lead to 15 on an Amyr Walker lay-up with 4:29 left. The Spartans got a
Kai Cipalla three-point play to start a 17-6 run that covering all but the final 30 seconds of the game as the Spartan lead grew to a game-high 26 before a Walker lay-up with 24 seconds left provided the final 24-point Spartan margin of victory.
