How It Happened
York got on the board three minutes after the opening kickoff with a Meg Kalthof tally. Alexys Savage found Kalthof in the left side of the box who fired a shot through the hands of Stevenson keeper Alison Halstead with her third shot of the game.

Kalthof struck again in the 20th minute of play to put the Spartans ahead 20. Meg Bailey started the play as she stole the ball from a Mustang up the right sideline and hit a streaking Kalthof in stride. Kalthof continued on her clear pathway to the goal and slipped a low shot past a sprawling Halstead for her second tally of the night.

Two minutes later, the Spartans extended their lead to 3-0 with a goal by Bailey. Morgan Joyce gained possession for York in the Spartan defensive third and swung the ball to her right over to Sara Frensley who then booted the ball over the top to Bailey. Bailey then one-touched Frensley's pass into the goal while avoiding a collision with Halstead who came rushing out of her net to make a play on the ball.

Bailey found the back of the net again in the 61st minute to extend the York lead  to 4-0. Savage fed a pass into the box from the left corner where Bailey collected it, beat a defender and finished for her second goal of the evening.

Carly Vincent netted the game's final tally of the evening in the 66th minute after keeping the play alive coming off a corner set piece opportunity. After fending off the initial corner service, the Mustangs attempted to clear the ball out of their defensive zone, but Vincent intercepted the clearing attempt just outside the 18-yard line and sent a shot sailing into the net for first career goal.
