How It Happened
The Falcons pulled off a big come-from-behind 26-24 win in set one. York led by as much as seven (18-11), but from there Messiah chipped away with a 12-5 run to tie the set, 23-23. The two teams traded points before a Spartan service error followed by a Falcon service ace ended the set in Messiah's favor.

Messiah trailed deep into set two and again pulled off a comeback win, this time by a score of 25-20. The Spartans took their largest lead of the frame, 18-15, but from there the Falcons ripped off four unanswered points to make it a one-point game. The Falcons went on to tie the set, 20-20, and from there scored five-straight points to end the set aided by three consecutive Spartan attack errors.

The Spartans dominated the third and never trailed on their way to a 25-11 victory. After going  ahead by 10 (17-7), Georgianna Kahley fueled an 8-4 set clinching run with three kills down the stretch and finished the set with five which led all players. Kahley hit a robust .833 in the frame while the Spartans hit .421 as a team.

The lead changed three times before the Falcons ran away with a 25-16 win in set four to clinch the match. The hitting errors piled for York down the stretch as they finished with 12 and just eight kills in the fourth. Messiah also defended the net well as they compiled four total blocks in the set.
