How It Happened

• York continued to pressure the Widener defense but the Pride kept the Spartans off the board in the second quarter. York held a 6-0 shots in total shots including a 5-0 bulge in shots on goal. The Spartans ended the half locked in a scoreless tie despite holding the significant shot margin.
• The Spartans wasted little time in breaking through in the third quarter. Sophomore

The Spartans had a chance to add to the lead with just under two minutes left in the third as they earned a penalty stroke. York wasn't able to convert as they took the 1-0 lead to the fourth quarter.
• Heiserman made it 2-0 with just over four minutes left in the game as she collected a rebound off a
Libby Wild shot and poked it home for her second goal of the night. The Spartans tallied the final goal with 1:07 left off a penalty corner.
Hannah Downs inserted the ball to

Kelbie Linebaugh for the goal. The first-year forward recorded her third goal of the year.
