YORK, PA – The York College men's swim team put together another solid day during the Spartan Splash Invitational on Saturday in York. The Spartans are 24.5 points back of Bridgewater as the Eagles have 650.5 points for the invite. Hood is third at 393.5 points while Cabrini (160 points) and Albright (53 points) round out the five-team field.
Sophomore James Lyon picked up York's lone win for the day and he did so in record fashion as he set a pool record in the 200 free with a time of 1:41.59. He headlined 14 Spartan performances in the A finals.
Chris Hulsart earned a pair of top eights as he finished third in the 400 IM and fifth in the 100 breaststroke. Alex Daniele posted a fifth-place finish in the 100 fly and a sixth in the 100 backstroke.
Freshman Braeden Emore finished second behind Lyon in the 200 free as he notched a time of 1:44.17. Collin Draminski posted a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke. Matthew Peters and Bryan Collins each earned fourth place finishes in the 100 fly and the 200 free respectively.
Grier Martin, Leo Ott and Liam Perrin each recorded sixth place finish for the Green and White. Connor Spillman finished seventh in the 200 free while Nick Bordovsky was eighth in the 100 fly for York.
