#21 Misericordia 8-3-1

How It Happened
  • The Cougars peppered the Spartans right from the start as they owned an 8-0 shot margin through the first 15 minutes with six of those shots finding their way on target.
  • Maegan Allspach finally broke down the door for Misericordia with her goal in the 19th minute.
  • York finished the half with a pair of corner kicks, but could only generate two total shots in the first 45 minutes, while the Cougars compiled 17 total shots and six corner kicks.
  • Allspach struck again for the Cougars and did so on a corner set piece just 63 seconds into the second half as she extended the Misericordia lead to 2-0 on her fifth tally of the season.
  • The Cougars went right back on the offensive and found the back of the net yet again when Colleen Kinsella scored her fourth goal of the year in the 51st minute to increase the MU lead to three.
  • The Cougars went on to completely dominate the final 39 minutes of the game and as they owned a 12-1 shot margin and surrendered just one corner to the Spartans. York keeper Madison O'Brien managed to keep the damage to a minimum as she made six saves during that span and finished the game with a career-high 13.

Up Next
The Spartans remain on the road for a trip to Alvernia on Saturday which begins a five-game stretch of conference games to end the season.
