Athletic Department Announces 2022 Hall of Fame Class

Brady, Christenberry and Edwards set to join other Spartan greats

YORK, PA – The York College Athletic Department is happy to announce the 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame Class has been selected for induction in October. Nick Brady, Jason Christenberry, and Ben Edwards comprise the 32nd Spartan Athletic Hall of Fame class.
 
Brady is one of four Spartan men's basketball NABC All-Americans in school history, earning the honor after the 2009-10 season. Brady finished his stellar Spartan career as the eighth all-time leading scorer with 1,524 points from 2005-2010. He is fourth in the career three point field goals made (218) and attempted (551), ninth in three point field goal percentage (.396), and tenth in career scoring average.
 
Brady was fantastic as a senior as he averaged 20 points and six rebounds per game. He shot 47% from the floor, 41% from three and 85% from the free throw line. In addition to earning the All-American honor in 2010, he was the CAC Player of the Year and an All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection. During his career, Brady was the 2007 CAC Rookie of the Year, a two-time All-CAC player, and a member of the CAC Silver Anniversary team.
 
Christenberry was a dominant four-year right-handed starter for the Spartan baseball squad. Christenberry finished his Spartan career ranked in the top two in almost every single significant pitching categories for the Green and White. He capped his career as a senior as he was the South Region Pitcher of the Year followed by ABCA All-American honors in 2010. He went 9-3 with a 2.57 ERA in 91 innings. He made 13 starts with five complete games including a pair of shutouts. He struck out 78 and held opponents to a .232 batting average against.
 
For his career, he finished with a record of 25-13, an ERA of 3.41 in 309 innings of work. He made 56 appearances with 48 starts. Christenberry posted nine complete games, two shutouts, and a pair of saves. He struck out 223 and limited opponents to a .247 batting average. York posted 101 wins during Christenberry's four year career.
 
Ben Edwards was a Spartan track and field standout who became the program's third NCAA Division III All-American in 2011. Edwards was a key part of a Spartan team that captured the programs' third Capital Athletic Conference championship after a 19-year gap between championships. Edwards won the 110 and 400 meter hurdle championships at the Capital Athletic Conference meet in York. He still holds the school's 400 meter hurdle record.
 
Edwards advanced to the 2011 Division III championships after posting a qualifying time at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg. He finished second in the preliminary with a school record time of 53.16 as he advanced to the finals. He finished eighth in the finals to earn the All-American honors.
 
The Hall of Fame Ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 1 as a part of the York College Fall Fest Weekend.
