How It Happened
York rushed out a 5-0 lead in the first 5:05 of the game. Ben Mayer racked up three assists to go along with one of those goals during that span.

The Spartans poured on five more unanswered goals through the second half of the first quarter to take a commanding 10-0 lead after one period of play. Dylan Wolf had the first and last goals of that second five-goal run with Eric Ranck dishing out two assists.

Ryan Kennedy and Ethan Greene each recorded pole goals during the first quarter as they both disrupted Albright clearing attempts and scored in transition.

Wolf opened the scoring in the second quarter with a man-down goal and the Spartan lead swelled to 14-0 before the first four minutes of the second quarter ticked away. Wolf and Will Harnick each had a goal and an assist in the second quarter as the Spartans led 17-0 at halftime.

Albright registered the first tally of the second half and the two sides traded goals before the Spartans went on seven-goal run capped off by a Gunnar Reynolds goal on the man-up unit with 9:34 left. The Lions went on to claim the last two goals of the game.

Rhys McCarver and JD Townsend led York with two goals each in the second half, while Reynolds also had two points in the final 30 minutes of play.

Hugo Spencer went 12-for-14 at the faceoff dot in the second half as York owned a 27-10 ground ball advantage.
