READING, PA – The #13 York College women's lacrosse team remained perfect in conference play with a 14-3 road win at Albright on Wednesday night in Reading.
Kiersten Blanchard and
Teresa Matthias each scored five goals to lead the Spartan offense.
The Spartans have won three straight and remain perfect on the road at 6-0.

How It Happened
• The Spartans got off to a great start in the first quarter as they sprinted out to a 5-0 lead.
Kiersten Blanchard broke the ice with her goal at the 10:23 mark of the opening quarter.
Riley Roeder scored off a
Madison Kurland assist just under a minute later. Blanchard continued the Spartan run with her second goal of the game just 34 seconds later.
Chloe MacDonald won the draw and got the ball to Blanchard who finished the chance. MacDonald won the ensuing draw and
Logan Ward would score the fourth goal 45 second later. Blanchard finished the first quarter scoring with her third goal of the period with 1:28 showing on the clock.
• The scoring pace slowed in the second quarter as York outscored the Lions 2-0. Blanchard got a man up goal at the 9:44 mark. MacDonald scored an unassisted goal of her own two and a half minutes later as York led 7-0 at the break.
• Senior
Teresa Matthias kicked off the third quarter scoring with two goals in the opening four minutes of the quarter. Albright's Kayte Moist broke up the shutout with her third goal of the year. Matthias got that goal back with her third goal of the quarter at the 3:33 mark.
• Albright's Katelyn Patrick started the fourth quarter scoring with her 14
th goal of the year to make it 10-2. Matthias continued her personal run with her fourth straight Spartan goal with 10:04 left in the game. Blanchard tallied her fifth goal of the game with 9:33 left. After a third Albright goal, York closed out the game with goals from
Zoe Kluegel and Matthias for the final 11-goal margin of victory.
