MIDDLETOWN, PA – The York College Spartans suffered a 14-5 non-conference loss at Penn State Harrisburg on Tuesday afternoon in Middletown, PA. The Spartans have won six of their last eight but have lost two of their last three.

How It Happened
• The Lions jumped out to a big lead as they scored three runs in the second, three in the third, three in the fourth and four in the fifth to take the 13-1 lead.
• The Lions kicked off the scoring in the second as Drew Sassaman ripped a two-out double after a walk and a hit batter. Sassaman scored on a Dallas Hite RBI single. In the third, the big blow came from Robbie Skinner as he had a two-run single.
• York got on the board in the fourth as Chris Betler plated Andrew Santarpia on an RBI fielder's choice.
• The Lions made it 9-1 on a Maddux Ryan three run homer to right in the bottom of the fourth.
• Harrisburg removed all doubt about the outcome in the fifth as Chase Smith had an RBI triple while Kevin Lehner hit a three-run homer later in the inning to push the lead to 13-1.
• York got two runs in the sixth and two more in the eighth while the Lions got their final run with a single tally in the seventh.
