Goucher 4-17
York 10-9

How It Happened
  • The Spartans rolled to a 25-14 first set win as they limited the Gophers to a dreadful -.024 attack percentage. Abby Diehl led a strong defensive effort with her seven digs in the frame, while also handing out 11 assists. Morgan Nolte led the offense with four kills
  • The second set had just one tie as the Spartans never trailed on their way to another 25-14 victory. York scored seven-straight points to end the set with Nolte closing out the frame with six-consecutive serves. Megan Rizzi posted three kills on York's closing run as she led all players with seven in the set.
  • York, again, never trailed in the third set as the Green and White capped off the match with a 25-12 win on a .414 attack percentage. Jennifer Taylor recorded back-to-back kills to jump start a five-point run which gave the Spartans an overwhelming 22-9 lead. Madison Kauffmann and Jackie Karcz notched the final two kills to wrap the win.

Up Next
The Spartans wrap up their five-game home stand Wednesday against conference-leading Stevenson at 7 p.m.

Notes
The Spartan's .351 attack percentage is the second-best percentage overall this season and the best in a three-set match … York's 52 digs are the most in a three-set match this season and just the seventh time the team has posted 50 digs this year … Abby Diehl (25 assists & 12 digs) and Megan Rizzi (12 kills & 11 digs) each posted their 10th double-double of the season.
