How it Happened
• The Spartans were ice cold early as they didn't get their first basket until
Savannah Wilson drilled a three 2:59 into the first quarter. That three blew the lid off the bucket as York scored the next 12 points to take a 12-2 lead. After an Ashya Gaddy lay-up, the Spartans finished the quarter on a 12-2 run to take a 24-6 advantage after 10 minutes of play. York forced 10 first quarter Eastern turnovers which they turned into 14 points.

York maintained the lead as the scoring pace slowed with the Spartans shooting just 31.6% (6-for-19) for the quarter. York took a 40-14 lead at the half. They limited Eastern to just eight second quarter points as the Eagles were just 4-for-13 (30.8%) from the floor.
• The third quarter proved to be a more offensive period for both squads as York put up their second 24-point quarter of the game. The Spartans shot 53.3% (8-for-15) in the quarter including 3-for-5 from three and 5-for-6 from the line. Eastern scored 17 points in the quarter but the Spartan still managed to increase their lead to 32 at the end of 30 minutes of play.
