YORK, PA – The York College women's track & field team battled the elements and seven other schools at Thursday's York College Twilight Meet at the Grumbacher Center. The meet featured snow flurries, biting winds and cold temps as the teams competed at York's lone home appearance of the 2021 campaign.
Sophomore Julia Pena led the Spartans again as she captured two more victories for the Green and White. Pena captured individual gold in the 100 hurdles and the long jump. Hayden Divers earned a win in the discus while Taylor Barkdoll posted a victory in the 3000 meter steeplechase.
The Spartans notched 14 top four finishes during the event.

Julia Pena now has a team-leading six individual wins for the year as she has won a pair of events in each of York's first three meets … Pena's time of 15.66 in the 100 hurdles is the second best mark in the MAC behind her time of 15.27 set at last week's LVC meet … Pena's distance in the long jump of 5.22 meters is now the new standard in the MAC, passing Eastern's Taylor Bain-Bynum by .02 meters … junior Taylor Barkdoll now has the best time in the MAC in the 3000-meter steeplechase as her time of 11:37.63 beat the previous best mark by over 1:37 … Hayden Divers also takes over first place in the MAC in the discus as her throw of 36.66 eclipses DeSales Isabelle Mecks previous best of 36.47.
