York Captures Second at Racich Rumble with Six Place Winners

Kuhns, Rohrbaugh, Bair and Farrow All Grab Individual Titles

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - York wrestling placed second out of 14 teams with six place winners and a tournament-best four title winners at the Racich Rumble on Saturday hosted by Ursinus College.


Jared Kuhns (125), Dalton Rohrbaugh (133), Jared Bair (149) and Camden Farrow (197) all captured titles in their respective weight class, while Tyson McDuffy captured second at 141 and Nick Paolucci placed sixth at 149.

Top Performers
  • Jared Kuhns went 5-0 with a pair of technical falls to capture first place at 125 lbs. Fourth-seeded Kuhns knocked fifth-seed Brent Lorin (Hopkins) in the quarterfinals, 10-0, and then upset top-seed Terry Adams (Ursinus), 5-2, in the semifinals. Kuhns capped off the day with four takedowns in a 12-5 victory over second-seed Bryan Kelly (Del. Valley) in the title bout.
  • Dalton Rohrbaugh went 4-0 with four falls to capture his second-straight title of the season at 133 lbs. The top-seed Spartan took down fourth-seed Romeo Rodriguez (Ursinus) in 3:12 to punch his ticket to the finals. After getting an early takedown, Rohrbaugh made quick work of his title bout as he stuck Nick Tannuzzo (NYU) to the mat in just 50 seconds.
  • Tyson McDuffy compiled a record of 4-1 on the day with a pair of falls and a technical fall to capture second place at 141 lbs. McDuffy posted back-to-back pins to reach the title bout where he fell in sudden victory, 14-12, to Collin Rolak (Wilkes). Trailing by seven entering the third period, McDuffy made a spectacular comeback to force the match into extra time as he scored a trio of takedowns, including one in the closing seconds, to pull even at the end of the third.
  • Jared Bair posted a record of 5-0 on the day with four falls to capture the 149-pound title. Fifth-seeded Bair knocked off fourth-seed Greg Croce (Del. Valley) with a fall in the third period to advance to the semifinals where he upset top-seed Anthony Chavez (NYU), 11-5. Bair racked up two takedowns and a reversal before ending the title bout with second-seed Jason Rezac (Alvernia) with a fall at 4:09.
  • Nick Paolucci battled his way back to capture sixth place at 149 lbs. as he went 5-1 with four falls and had to forgo his final two bouts of the day after hitting the match limit. After suffering a loss in the round of 16, sixth-seeded Paolucci responded with three-straight pins to advance to the consolation quarterfinals. Paolucci then took out fourth-seed Greg Croce (Del. Valley), 3-1, in the consolation semifinals to secure a top-six placement.
  • Camden Farrow bulldozed his way to his second title of the season as he went 4-0 with four falls to place first at 197 lbs. The top-seeded Spartan made quick work of his first two bouts as he pinned both of his opponents in the first period. Farrow turned reversals into falls in each of his final two bouts and opened up a 10-0 lead over Jackson Crawn (Delaware Valley) in the title bout before sticking him to the mat at 3:55.

Other top-eight performers: Wilfred Jimenez (125), AJ DeVries (165) and Robbie Fleming 165 all reached the consolation quarterfinals … York placed second behind Alvernia (1st) and ahead of Messiah (4th), Delaware Valley (6th), Wilkes (10th) and King's (11th) among the six participating MAC schools … York's six place winners combined for 16 falls on the day … Dalton Rohrbaugh and Camden Farrow both won all their matches via fall as they went four-for-four … Rohrbaugh led the team with the most falls in the least amount of time with four in 10:06, including two in less than a minute, and had York's second-fastest fall of the day at 31 seconds … Rohrbaugh and Farrow lead the team in placements and titles on the season with two each.
