NEWTOWN, Pa. - York College senior All-American Josh Stahl has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's Wrestler of the Year as the conference announced their men's wrestling major award recipients on Wednesday.

The conference men's wrestling coaches nominate and vote on their year-end awards at the conclusion of the NCAA Championships. Of the 15 national qualifiers from the MAC, Stahl turned in the best performance with his second-place finish at 197 lbs. The Spartan All-American accounted for 17 team points as he posted a 3-1 record  with two decisions and a major decision while advancing to the title bout.

Stahl put together a decorated season as he posted a 38-2 overall record, including a dual record of 15-0, with eight falls, 18 technical falls and six major decisions. He finished top-10 in Division III in technical falls and top-10 in the Most Dominant Wrestler standings. The Spartan senior won the 197-pound title at the MAC Men's Wrestling Championship in addition to three other tournament titles throughout the season. Additionally, his 38 wins this season are tied for the third-most in York men's wrestling history.

Stahl is York's first MAC Men's Wrestler of the Year and the first Spartan to earn a year-end MAC men's wrestling award. He is the fourth different MAC Champion for York since joining the conference in 2022 and the 18th different wrestler in program history to be crowned a conference champ.
