Josh Stahl of the York wrestling team earned Scholar All-American honors as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
To earn Scholar All-America distinction, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher for the previous academic year, or have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Individuals also must either be an NCAA qualifier with a winning record or finish in the top six at their NCAA regional championships or win at least 67% of his matches while competing in at least 50% of his team's scheduled competitions.
Stahl, an intelligence analysis major, earns his first Scholar All-American honors. He closed out his career as National Runner-Up at 197 lbs. Stahl capped his career with an overall, 64-9 record. The senior All-American went 38-2 in his final season. Stahl was also crowned MAC Men's Wrestler of the Year.
