TRENTON, NJ – The York College men's basketball squad bounced back from a disappointing result on Friday with a big 97-59 win over Saint Elizabeth on Saturday in the consolation game of the TCNJ Tip-Off Tournament. The Spartans senior guard
Travis Stoll was named to the All-Tournament team for the Green and White as York placed five players in double figures for the Spartans.

How It Happened
• The Spartans got off to another good start as they led 11-5 on a
Travis Stoll three pointer just over four minutes into the game. The Eagles answered with a 15-2 run to take a 20-13 lead with 10:07 left in the opening half. The Eagles eventually pushed the lead to ten twice, with the second time being 33-23 with 6:05 left in the half.
• York responded with an impressive 17-2 run to close out the half and take a 40-35 lead at the intermission.
• The Green and White kept the momentum rolling to start the second half as they opened the stanza with a 13-3 run to push the lead to 15 just three minutes into the half. The overall run was 30-5 and completely turned the game around in favor of the Spartans.
• The Spartans continued to build the lead as it reached 20 for the first time at 60-40 at 15:23. The lead reached 31 with 7:06 left and the final score proved to be the biggest margin at 38.

The Spartans shot a season-best 54.4% from the floor in the game including 62% in the second half … York went 3-for-11 from distance in the first half but got hot in the second half as they made 9-of-17 from behind the arc in the second 20 minutes of play … the Spartan defense got cranked up in the second half as they held St. Elizabeth to 24% shooting from the field including 1-for-10 from three in the second half … York outscored the Eagles 57-24 in the second half … York forced 16 St. Elizabeth turnovers which they turned into 24 points … York got back to dominating points in the paint as they outscored the Eagles 48-24 in the key … the Spartans dominated the glass 52-23 with 16 of those rebounds coming on the offensive end … York had a 13-3 edge in fast break points.
