Box Score YORK, PA – The York College men's basketball team put together its most complete effort of the season as the Spartan ran past Southern Virginia 100-60 in a Capital Athletic Conference contest from York on Saturday afternoon. The 100 points are the highest total under the guidance of Spartan head coach Matt Hunter.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• The Spartans could not have gotten off to a better start as they opened the game on a 20-4 run. Matt Scamuffo, Mike Frauenheim, and Brad Wesner all nailed threes on the game-opening spurt. Scamuffo hit another three at the 9:58 mark as the Spartan lead grew to 20 midway through the opening half.
• SVU trimmed the lead to 16 only to see York rip off a 10-2 run, increasing the lead to 24 at 44-20. The run was capped by a three-point play from Jared Wagner. The Spartans' got back-to-back steals and baskets from Zack Galic as they reached 50 points with 3:49 left in the first half.
• York pushed the lead to a half-high of 32 (59-27) on a Kevin Callahan three pointer with 1:23 left in the half. The Spartans would settle for a 64-33 lead at the break as Frauenheim closed out the scoring with a three pointer with 31 seconds left in the half. York got 27 points off 15 SVU first half turnovers.
• York picked up right where they led off after the half as the Spartans hit the Knights with an 8-0 run to start the stanza, pushing the lead to 72-33 just over two and a half minutes into the half. The Knights cut the Spartan lead back to 30 (75-45) but York continued to pull away, building the lead to 44 with 4:53 left. The Spartans broke into triple digits when Joey Polczynski hit a leaner in the lane with 1:08 left in the game. York would settle for the 40-point win, the second-largest victory in the Matt Hunter Era. The previous high was a 41-point victory over Knox on December 22, 2012.
