Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, VA – The York College men's basketball squad went cold from the field in the second half as the Mary Washington Eagles snapped the Spartans' four game win streak with a 94-83 win in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Saturday night.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• Mary Washington sprinted out to a quick start on the Spartans. They pushed out to a 19-9 lead just over five minutes into the game. The Eagles pushed the lead to a first half high of 12 (23-11) on a pair of Eric Shaw free throws with 12:54 left in the first half.
• The Spartans responded with a 12-2 run capped by a Matt Scamuffo lay up as York trailed 25-23 with just under ten minutes remaining. Scamuffo would then hit back to back three pointers as the Spartans took their first lead of the night, 34-33. The Spartans pushed the lead to five on three different occasions before settling for the 49-45 halftime lead.
• Both teams lit it up offensively in the first half. York shot 55.2% (16-for-29) from the floor while the Eagles converted 14-of-26 (53.8%) from the field including 7-for-15 (46.7%) from three.
• The Eagles wasted little time in erasing the Spartan halftime advantage as they fashioned an 11-3 lead to take a 56-52 lead a mere 3:21 into the second stanza. Scamuffo hit a three two minutes later to draw York to within one at 59-58. That is the closes the Spartans would get the rest of the way. The Eagles answered Scamuffo's three with a 9-2 run to push the lead to eight with 10:38 left.
• York cut the lead to five twice over the next seven minutes with the second time coming at 81-76 on a pair of Blayde Reich free throws with 2:45 left. The Eagles quickly pushed the lead back to ten and the Spartans would not get closer than seven over the final two minutes of the game.
• York shot just 30.8% (8-for-26) from the floor in the second half while the Eagles shot 58.3% (14-for-24) from the field including 5-for-10 (50%) from three. York went just 3-for-15 from three in the second half.
