The Spartans improve to 5-1, their best start since 2013 when they also started 5-1 … that 2013 squad started the year 10-2 … the Spartans hit a season-best .206 in the game two win over Wilkes … York failed to record a solo block in the match two win over Wilkes as they had six block assists … York is averaging 1.94 blocks per set … four of York's five wins have come in straight sets … libero Alexis Harbold leads the team with 96 digs as she is averaging 4.8 digs per set … Eryn Brady is hitting a team best .310 in 113 attempts.
What's Next:
The Spartans continue their season-opening 10 match road trip as they head to Lycoming College to participate in the 24th Annual Warrior Tip Off Classic hosted by Lycoming College. York faces the host Warriors in the first match Friday at 4:00 pm followed by a match against Penn State Harrisburg at 6:00 pm. The Spartans then face Dickinson and Misericordia on Saturday.
