• York got on the board just under three minutes later as Kenidy Kubitz (Boyertown, Pa./Oley Valley) fed Autumn Mallory (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) for the goal. The goal was Mallory's fifth of the season.

• The Spartans had two shots cleared off the line by defenders in consecutive shots as Ali Posey (Airville, Pa./Red Lion) and Beth Patrick (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) both threw shots on cage that got cleared out to keep the game tied.

• Nye had a chance stopped on another defensive save in the final minutes as she was turned away with just under seven minutes left in regulation.

• York had their final shot with 17 seconds left while the Hornets turned around and squeezed off a shot in the final eight seconds of regulation as both shots were saved.

UP NEXT

The Spartans return home to face Franklin & Marshall in a non-conference contest on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 pm at Kinsley Field. The Diplomats will be looking to avenge last season's 2-1 upset loss to the Spartans when the Diplomats were ranked fourth in the country. That win for York was the highest ranked opponent the Green and White had ever beaten in school history. The Dips enter this year's contest ranked fifth in the country as they are 3-0 including Saturday's 3-2 win at #17 Mary Washington.
